What is the Girl Scout Cookies strain?
Girl Scout Cookies, now mostly sold as GSC, is an indica-dominant hybrid from the San Francisco Bay Area, linked to the Cookie Fam crew and generally described as OG Kush crossed with Durban Poison genetics. It became famous in the late 2000s and early 2010s through clone-only cuts such as Thin Mint, Forum and Platinum, and seed versions followed later. Feminized GSC flowers in about 8 to 10 weeks, is reported at up to about 24–28% THC and tastes sweet, earthy and minty.
AllBud and MSNL list about 60% indica; Sensi Seeds' White Label seed version calls its own line 50/50.
GSC genetics sit behind Sunset Sherbet, Gelato and Do-Si-Dos, which is why so many modern strains carry a Cookies name or flavor.

Where does the Girl Scout Cookies strain come from?
Girl Scout Cookies came out of the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 2000s, from the grower collective then known as the Cookie Fam, and is usually described as OG Kush crossed with Durban Poison. Leafly gives a more detailed version, Durban Poison mixed with the crew's secret F1 strain and then bred with OG Kush, and SeedFinder traces the tree to a South Florida OG Kush and F1 Durban. Jigga, an early Cookie Fam breeder, has been quoted as saying the popular origin stories were put out to stop copycats, so the exact recipe is still unconfirmed.
The original GSC spread as clone-only cuts, and SeedFinder notes the line wasn't stable early on, so several versions circulated, including the Thin Mint, Forum and Platinum cuts. After the Girl Scouts of the USA objected to dispensaries using its cookie name, most growers switched to GSC or Cookies. Feminized GSC seeds are later seed-bank recreations with differing recipes: Sensi Seeds' White Label version, for example, lists Durban, Hindu Kush and OG Kush in its background.
What is the difference between the Thin Mint, Forum and Platinum GSC cuts?
Thin Mint, Forum and Platinum are separate clone selections of Girl Scout Cookies, and growers still argue over which is closest to the original. Thin Mint is usually described as the most mint-forward, Platinum as a little sweeter, with spacey, relaxing effects, and one grower's forum report describes the Forum cut as a purple-tinged plant that yields less than the green cut. SeedFinder lists Thin Mint GSC as a probable relative of the original line.
Seeds aren't clones. Feminized GSC seeds produce a range of phenotypes, so your plants may lean toward any of these cuts rather than copying one exactly.

How do you grow Girl Scout Cookies seeds?
Girl Scout Cookies feminized seeds grow into a medium, upward-branching plant: veg for a few weeks, train it into an even canopy, give it 8 to 10 weeks of bloom on a 12/12 schedule, feeding moderately and keeping late-bloom humidity low.
- GerminateAbout 1 week
GSC seedlings can start slowly; one SeedFinder grower notes the line vegs at a gentle pace and doesn't like stress.
- Vegetate4–6 weeks indoors
Use LST or topping while the branches are still flexible. Sensi's White Label notes say plants flowered at 30–40 cm finish around 100–125 cm.
- Flower8–10 weeks
Expect some stretch after the switch to 12/12, and set up carbon filtration, since GSC gets pungent late in bloom.
- HarvestDay ~60–70 · late Sept–Oct outdoors
Harvest by trichome color; GSC buds keep adding weight and resin in the last stretch of flowering.
Grow tips for Girl Scout Cookies
- Go easy on nutrients. MSNL warns that pushing GSC hard with feed causes more problems than it solves. Steady, moderate feeding works better.
- Keep changes gradual. A SeedFinder grower calls GSC stress-prone, so avoid sudden swings in temperature, watering or training.
- Watch for bud rot. A reviewer of Sensi's White Label GSC lost colas to rot. Keep humidity low and air moving through the dense flowers.
- Use the upward branching. Sensi notes that GSC branches strongly upward, so indoor plants can sit fairly close together or fill a SCROG net.
- Expect late color on some plants. Dark purple leaves and lavender tones can appear on some GSC plants late in flowering, which is normal for the strain.
- Plan for sticky trimming. GSC resin is thick enough to gum up scissors and grinders, so keep a spare pair of trimmers and some rubbing alcohol nearby.

- Want the original Cookies genetics behind many modern dessert strains

This product is a real gem; it makes me want to get stoned and removes my tension and pain. It was also fairly easy to cultivate indoors, taking only a few months of work on my part. That being said, it took a little while to finish flowering and harvesting, so it’s not a huge concern. The nugs are really bright and cool, even though the cannabis itself is beautiful! are really delicious, freshly roasted nugs that I adore and eat every day. It’s fresh and cheerful, and it always makes me feel better when I’m down. Try it out!

Get your girl scout cookies over here; this stuff is a true gem that relieves pain my and tension while also making me want to get stoned. I’m anxious, nervous, and just thrilled where I can get bake out of my grown weed, and it only took me a few months of effort and was relatively simple to grow indoors, though it didn’t take too long to finish flowering and harvesting, which isn’t a big deal. Although the weed is lovely, the nugs are very bright and cool! This stuff is sativa-heavy and did make me feel energized and alert!
Douglas Caldwell –
My Girl Scout cookies have returned, and this time they are much better than before! I placed an order online and had the pot seeds delivered to my home in Canada, It’s my favorite strain of all time, and finally, I can grow it all on my own! I’m blown away! I germinated them in my backyard and got an attractive yield in about four months, all very high-quality, fresh nugs that I love and enjoy daily. It’s very upbeat and new, and it always brings me in a positive mood when I’m down. Give it a shot.
