Agent Orange Strain Regular SeedsTGA's orange-scented hybrid, sold the way its breeders released it
5.00 out of 5 · 10 reviewsThe Agent Orange strain is a citrus-heavy hybrid from TGA Subcool Seeds, bred by Subcool and MzJill from Orange Velvet and their Jack the Ripper. It smells of fresh oranges and lemons, flowers in about 55 to 65 days and can grow into a tall, heavy plant. Its breeders only ever released Agent Orange as regular seeds, so expect around half the plants to be male, which suits breeders and phenotype hunters.

What is the Agent Orange strain?
Agent Orange is a balanced hybrid bred by TGA Subcool Seeds (Subcool and MzJill) from an Orange Velvet clone and their own Jack the Ripper. The breeder lists it at about 50% sativa and 50% indica, with a strong orange-and-lemon smell, very resinous buds and a flowering time of 55 to 65 days. Reported THC runs from about 17% on Leafly to 25% on AllBud, and TGA never sold it as feminized seeds.
Ratio from the breeder's listing on SeedFinder. AllBud says 75% sativa, and plants range from short and chunky to tall and resinous.
The breeder compares Agent Orange's smell to oranges, lemons and a whiskey sour cocktail.
Agent Orange strain specs
Agent Orange's numbers come from TGA Subcool's breeder notes (now listed under MzJill Genetics on SeedFinder), Philosopher Seeds' regular F2 of the same cross, and the Leafly and AllBud databases. The original breeders don't publish a yield in grams, so that row quotes their description alongside Philosopher Seeds' figures.

Where does the Agent Orange strain come from?
Agent Orange was bred by Subcool and his partner MzJill of TGA Subcool Seeds, who crossed an Orange Velvet clone with their Jack the Ripper. The breeder's own notes spell the cross out as a local Orange Skunk × Jack's Cleaner × Space Queen, which means the same thing: Jack the Ripper is Jack's Cleaner × Space Queen, and Space Queen in turn comes from Romulan and Cinderella 99.
TGA used the same orange clone as the mother of its Jilly Bean, which is why the two strains share a tangerine nose. SeedFinder now lists Agent Orange under MzJill Genetics, and Philosopher Seeds sells a regular F2 of the original cross. Agent Orange entries took third place in the sativa category at the IC 420 Growers Cup in 2012 and 2013, according to SeedFinder's award records.
Why buy Agent Orange as regular seeds?
Agent Orange was only released as regular seeds by its breeders, so a regular pack is the closest you can get to the original release. TGA made strains such as Jilly Bean and Agent Orange by pairing a favorite clone with one of its own selected males, and regular seeds let you work the same way: keep a vigorous, orange-scented male for pollen and make your own crosses, or let a few plants pollinate each other for more seed.
Two main phenotypes show up. The breeder describes a shorter plant with fatter buds and a taller, more resinous one; growing out a full regular pack is the easiest way to find the one you want as a mother.
What does Agent Orange taste like, and what kind of high does it give?

How do you grow Agent Orange seeds?
Regular Agent Orange seeds grow into vigorous, stretchy plants: start extra seeds, top and train in veg, take out or isolate males as soon as pre-flowers reveal them, then bloom the females for 55 to 65 days with support for the heavy colas.
- Germinate3–7 days
Agent Orange regulars split roughly evenly between the sexes, so sprout about double the number of plants you want to flower as females.
- Vegetate4–6 weeks
Top Agent Orange early and train it into a bush; the breeder recommends this indoors because the plant grows very tall.
- Flower55–65 days
In the first two weeks of 12/12, check each plant and pull males before their pollen sacs open. Expect a big stretch, with the colas packing on weight in the final two weeks.
- HarvestDay 55–65 · late Sep–early Oct outdoors
Cut when most trichomes are cloudy; cool nights near harvest can tint Agent Orange's leaves maroon or purple.
Grow tips for Agent Orange
- Top and train hard. Leafly's grow guide and the breeder both suggest heavy topping and training to turn Agent Orange's tall frame into many even colas.
- Support the colas. Agent Orange's buds get large and dense, and branches can snap late in flower, so add stakes or a trellis net before the buds fill out.
- Don't cut early. The breeder says Agent Orange adds most of its weight in the last weeks, so let the females run the full 55 to 65 days.
- Pick your phenotype. Choose the short, fat-budded type for a low tent or the taller, resin-heavy type if you want more trichomes; clone both before flowering so you can keep the winner.
- Give outdoor plants room. In a sunny climate Agent Orange can top 3 m (10 ft), so plant it where height won't be a problem, or keep topping it through summer.

- Love orange and lemon aromas

Paul Halverson –
The germination was fast and grew into tall and beautiful plants. It was a relatively simple growth, and I can’t express how pleased I am with the results. The seeds are a great deal, particularly considering how much marijuana you get. Incredible upbeat high that slams into you like a ton of bricks. It’s suitable for medical use too!
Jay Long –
It is a vigorous plant! It truly puts me to sleep—every single time. Since I usually smoke from a bong, my hits might be more potent than most. However, I believe it is a one-hit-wonder. It’s an excellent painkiller and a simple strain to develop. This strain consistently produces a strong yield for me.

Agent orange plays a vital role in my life; It helps me treat the conditions like depression, anxiety, and body discomforts. It eases all the pain I feel while I can slowly feel its smooth energizing buzz that comes with a potent high. A very interesting weed strain to smoke with its lemon, cheese, and spicy scent. I would definitely come back for more!
Ruth Munz –
Agent orange strain is God-sent!! I never thought that it could withstand the crazy weather in my region! It gave me significant, elongated buds that are wrapped with hairs and excessive amounts of trichomes. After my first hit, I became energized and sociable, and after I took another hit, I can feel how potent the buzz that made me realize I was very high and happy at that time—adding this to my favorites!

This strain is one of my great choices in life. Plus that it is very easy to cultivate and offers me to be more energetic, focused, and relaxed. This plant grows really tall and it becomes fully matured in just about 8 weeks. It eases my anxiety and lessens my overthinking. Whenever I’m puffing this it makes me focus and be productive on my hectic schedule. It has a flavor and aroma of spicy lemon, cheese, orange and sweet makes it very interesting about this strain. It requires to be planted in a place which is a direct sunlight spot. It has long buds and it has to be trimmed and trained for its production but all of my hard work definitely pays off after harvest time. This strain is really worth it after all.

A favourite strain whenever I want to stay focused. And yes, no problems with growing this seed. I tried growing it in soil and I am very much satisfied with the yield. Agent Orange is a bomb and oh can’t get enough of its lemony and flavourful taste.
JSolis –
Great strain to grow! This was a extraordinary experience growing an incredible Agent Orange. I’ve taken in a couple of things and I’m content with the outcomes. I took in somewhat more about this grow and will learn significantly progressively on my next grow.
